I live in Germany (military). I have a European verison of the Escape (Maverick). I'm having problems with the front left bearings, the ABS system and the ABS rings, they need to be replaced. I don't want to have to go through the European system to get the parts (at least triple the cost of American parts). I was hoping to find out if parts from the Escape will function with no problems on the Maverick.

I think they are the same, but you would have to check for the FoMoCo local part # and then check on the web to see if you can get the part there. Go to ford dash trucks dot com and post the question. This site, sad to say, is rather slowpoke. If that site doesn't get a bite, try escape dash city dot com forums. It is pretty active.
I am pretty sure the mechanicals are the same, except the Euro models have a diesel alternative[heck,not even sure on that]. The tone rings can actually be glued if they have split, as one on the latter site has reported success...
