Driver's Door Lock won't work after Replacing Battery on 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid
I just replaced my battery on my 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid. After I did so, I found that my drivers side door would not lock or unlock either using the remote (FOB) or the power lock button on the inside door. All the other doors work and can be used with either the remote or the button on the doors. It's just the drivers side door. All fuses are good and don't have an issue with anything else power wise. I did not have a problem before my battery died, only after. From the people I have asked, they said it is not a power issue. I have read other posts (here and on other sites) stating the exact same thing happening to other people but I haven't seen any solutions. I called a couple Ford dealerships and they said they have never heard of this happening. I feel it's a little to convenient that my driver's side door stops working at exactly the same time as when I replace my battery. There must me some sort of correlation. Anyone have any ideas?
