I have an 05 Mariner. I installed a hitch and purchased a OEM wiring assembly. Part #6L8Z-13A576-AA. It has a plug on one end and the trailer 4-wire plug on the other. I cannot find a wire with a plug like that anywhere in the rear of the vehicle. Does anyone else have an idea on where it should go? The wiring is only about 2 1/2 ft. long so it can't go far!

Re: dwclay

As it's not a factory installed hitch you'll probably have to spice the wires yourself to make the 4pin connector work. Most hitches when they come from the factory, have a plug for the connector within a few inches from the hitch opening. The 4Wire end connects directly to the trailer. AllData might have a wiring diagram for you to follow, or, a cheap but reliable place to have a connector installed is a UHaul center. Then you don't have to worry about the guess work. I wired an earlier GM Vandura van with a 4pin connector, and it took me just over four hours with no manual. That was also six years ago when I did a lot of my own guesswork!

Re: dwclay

Hi, i have a factory installed hitch and the connectors are right next to the hitch. i agree with the previous poster you will probably have to cut the wires yourself.
