Escape 2005 Ignition lock problem
I just bought 2005 Escape with 13.5K miles. Shortly after, I noticed that sometimes I am unable to pull out the ignition key once I shut the motor. I may have to restart it to enable power steering and then turn the wheel back and fourth a few times.
The biggest problem is - it's *sometimes*! I already brought it to the dealer once but that time it worked in his hands - he just turned the wheel and took they key out, so I looked like ... you know who.
I do want it fixed while under factory warranty (I presume) but what if it betrays me again once I bring it to the service dept?? Any advice / experience / pleeeez???
(I wonder if it's due to new steering column design - they moved gear stick to the floor in 2005 model)
