Is it actualy true that the Ford Escape is built on a car frame?

No car shares the escape platform. It is a unitbody that uses a sub frame that is used to attach the suspension and the engine to.

The Escape is built on the Ford CD2 platform, which is in turn based on the Mazda GF platform, which was used by the Mazda 626 (at the time). - Ford Escape - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
