so I was looking online, and noticed that 2002-2007 escapes were interchangeable for parts, so my question is:

I have a 2002 escape, and I seen that the 2006 escape has GPS and DVD built into the dash as an option. Being as I have a 2002, would it be possible for me to get the dvd/navigation system from a 2006 and put it in my 2002, or does it require alot of new wiring, a new pcm, etc?

Please let me know, as if it's possible I will be doing this conversion.

I don't know whether it is plug and play, but I would imagine if not, it's like putting a aftermarket radio in.

But you might be right about the PCM being affected. Some cars you reset the oil change light by going through the radio.

Someone will be along that should know for sure.
