Fuel tank filler problem - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

I have an 08 Escape with about 70,000 kms on it. It has recently developed a problem when filling the fuel tank. The fuel spits back and shuts off the filler nozzle every few seconds unless you pump it incredibly slowly. I talked to a neighbour who had an 06' and she had the same problem. She told me she took it to the dealer and although they told her ther was a bulletin about this problem, their "fixes" did not solve the problem. Has anyone had this issue, and if so is there a successful fix?

If it's blowing back when filling , there has to be a venting problem with tank .Get it checked out .

Yes, I've heard of a kinked vent hose.
