Heater 2005 Escape
We have a 2005 Escape that we bought in August.
Everything was great until it got cold(we live in Kansas) my wife kept complaining about her feet and legs being cold even with the heater on full blast.
I traded sides with her and found that the passenger side had a bad air leak around the heater box.
Took it to our dealer, they agreed , and sealed the whole heater box so as the stop the cold air from coming in on our feet.
This helped a lot but it was still much cooler on the passenger side, so we went back to Ford and the then install some insulation under the dash, much better now.
In the process of doing this and trying to prove to Ford that we had a problem, we drove several other Escape that were on the lot and found that most of them had the same problem.
Also, we have been trouble controlling the temp, with the fan on high the temp control knob is very hard to turn and we seam to have trouble holding the temp that we set, especially on a windy day.
Other than these heater problems we love our Escape!!!!!!!!!
