Ok so i started working on a 2006 ford escape with the 3.0 V6, first of all...there is no room to do anything at all under that hood...second, all i need to do now is replace the crankshaft position sensor....where is this located? i have the part and everything ready to roll as soon as i can find where this is...can anyone help me please...the only thing i can seem to find on other sites is...its somewhere near the crankshaft pulley, but i have looked and felt all around that and cant find the damn thing for the life of me... someone please tell me that im not looking in the right place....oh by the way, My name is Khris and i live in Maryland.
ok well im about to go back out and start looking for it again...thanks for the diagram...i couldnt find one online, at least i know where its at now. thanks for yalls help :bowd:
now its telling me that its a camshaft sensor A, bank 1 the code is P0340. i think i found the sensor but i dont know how to tell if its the right one...like how it says sensor A bank 1???? any ideas???
I'm not really sure. I've never had one of these with a cam sensor code. It sounds like you have a tester to check the PCM for fault codes. I would just clear them and drive the vehicle normally and see what happens.
