I'm pretty darn good with duct tape, super glue, and WD-40. Neither of those will fix this problem though... The engine in my 2001 Escape was just replace but the guys at the shop took their sweet time putting the new engine in and now when they try to start it the theft light flashes really fast.... but it can be jumped off at the starter selinoid. I've read somewhere on some models to reset the key you have to turn the ignition comepletely into the run position and back off again 10 times. is there a quick fix to reset the factory alarm on this 2001 ford escape that will get my happy and back on the road again?

The keys will need programmed at a Ford Dealer. No other way around it.

so the codes programed into the key has to be put back into the factory alarm system? so it wont detect a theft? that sucks!!! there isn't any way to do that myself? cheap and easy?

There is no way around the Ford PATS Anti-theft system.
