eek hi all... escape problems

Hi... im new here... my name is Brandon from San Diego. My girlfriend has a 2002 Ford Escape XLT and recently whenever you are in drive and pushing the gas the motor or something in there is a making an odd ticking noise... i have heard several Fords doing this driving around and my sisters expedition is doing the same thing. the escape has a v6 the 3.0 i believe in it. ANY IDEAS of what the heck is wrong this time?

Post or PM me your VIN# and I can check something out for you. I think there is a TSB related to this.
