low rpms at start with 2002 ford escape
have a 2002 ford escape xls automatic 3 ltre engine 175,000 kms
just changed sparkplus plus changed battery and cleaned throttle body
the problem is
when i start the car first thing in the morning, the rpms are extremely low as you think its going to cut out, but doesnt , than it goes to 1200 and than to normal 700 rpms....this only happens when car has been sitting for awhile..if drive the car and shut off and than restart it immeditaely, will fire up and rpms are normal 700 at idle....
any ideas what is the problem

Try cleaning the IAC.

or throttle body cleaner?

I'd use the throttle body cleaner.
