Mariner Hybrid Nav Disc

I just bought an '06 Mariner Hybrid, and the GPS CD set is missing the disc covering Tennessee (version 3V, Map 7). I contacted the previous owner, and she told me she had the disc, and would send it. It has been weeks, and I have called, and even sent a postage paid pre-addressed envelop to send it back to me, and she won't respond. Apparently she can't find it, or doesn't feel like taking the time to stick a disc in the envelop and put it in the mail. I have been scouring the internet for this disc, including ebay, and have had no luck so far. Anyone have any suggestions short of shelling out $200.00 to Navteq for the entire set when I am only missing 1 disc? Thanks.

Re: Mariner Hybrid Nav Disc

may I suggest the first logic idea that comes to my mind? how about e-mailing the manufacturer about your specific problem? or a Mercury dealer? I'm sure that if you can prove them that you actually own the device, they would be glad to help with ONE disc or a copy of it. (proof = serial no. of device, serial no. of the software / must be somewhere on the box and/or envelopes of the discs, VIN of the car maybe). I don't think that they would be so cheap as to ask you to buy the WHOLE series.
just saying.

Re: Mariner Hybrid Nav Disc

Actually, they are so cheap as to ask me to buy the whole set when I am missing only one disc. I contacted the dealer, and the ONLY way they can order it is in a set. Since the data is by Navteq, not Ford, I am at the mercy of Navteq, and they refuse to sell me anything but the whole set for $199.00!
