Re: Multiple P035x error codes

Just to clear something up .The comment about the Asian cars was not mine but part of the link and I thought I'd deleted it from the link that I posted , but may be wrong .I dont usually post adverse comments on Ford unless justified

" I did find the same bulletin as you did. " maybe that's where you seen it

Re: Multiple P035x error codes

I'm sorry if I offended you in any way, you have been a great help and I thank you. I am/was a firm Ford man but with what has been happening to my vehicles, add in, a good friend had a trany failure after 60,000 mile in his 500, I am re-thinking my brand loyalty (it does pain me to say that). A final update on the Escape; My stepdaughter should get her Escape from Firestone today (the mechanic need to fish-out the 2 nuts he dropped down the manifold?? (second hand info)). The cost of the cats @ Firestone topped out at just over $3,000.00!!!! I hope we don't see this type of problem again.

Thanks again for the help and a place to "vent my frustration". I will post again if I need help in the future.

Rick

No offence taken , glad to help .A family member was recently looking to replace their car and looked at the Hyundai . I was impressed and couldn't really fault it , only a great improved offer swayed them to stay with Ford .$3,000.00 bill is horrendous , hope that's the end of your troubles .All the best with your cars , whatever you decide on ..

Re: Multiple P035x error codes

Rick, first and foremost, if you own a vehicle, the manufacturer has made junk. All of them do, but usually they all make a good one, too. You seem to be an unfortunate receiver of a double whammy, a lemon and a dealership that wants to take advantage of you. Not to talk you out of a car that will make you happy, but rather than spending money on a new car, have you tried to contact Ford on a regional level? Local dealers, particularly in a remote areas will try to take advantage of this fact when they can, but your lineup in cars indicates you were a pretty loyal Ford guy. In a market where everyone's scrambling to make their numbers, the automotive industry is not going to want to see a loyal customer go walking to the competition. Just a thought.
