My sister has an 06 Mariner and on startup and even afterward there is extreme grinding noise or rubbing noise as if the timing chains are rubbing on metal or something really very loud on both banks? I have not been around the 3.0 much in this config. Worked on 94, 3.0 in a Ranger but totally different animal. Any thoughts, do these engines have teflon guides on the tensioners. Thanks in advance for the help.
