Yes. Finally the day has come and the car was booked in for the chip. Off it goes to Autotech Engineering in Granville (02) 9897 1378.
I drop the car off. It gets put on the rollers and I get a call later in the day saying they got about 127rwkw

It's down on the last time I had it up - prev 134rwkw. I am informed that the hotter day is probably giving me a hard time.
I also get offered to have clogged up throttle body sorted out which has caused me a bit of an eratic idle. Now its 100x better. Thanks guys. It's also appreciated that Spiro and co at Autotech actually call me to tell me this and not just suprise me with a bill. Awesome.
The chip gets put in but I miss the opportunity to have a chat with Spiro whilst its done. It so happens that he was feeling crook but hung out to do the tuning instead of postponing it. Thanks again!
The final figure comes out to 141.3rwkw. The peak figure is down on the last time (146rwkw -demo day) but I'm told that the overall feel will be superior.
And it is.
Pickup to 100km's is def quicker. Throttle reaction is better. Unfortunately being stuck in peak hour traffic on the way home had me feeling like a dickless man in an orgy. I couldn't perform lol. Tomorrow night I'll give the car a hiding just to make sure everything is working how it should
After some conservative driving by the evil half (g/f) the distance to empty is improving. I'm impressed.
The guys run a professional outlet and I have no hesitation in going back for further business.
All thats left is to give it a run down at WSID this w/e with some of the XR6 turbo guys and friends.
Hopefully in another month or so I can squeeze some more dosh for a bigger cam....
