I have only had my brand new 2012 Escape for six months. I take very good care of my car and am always checking for scratches, etc. Over the last few weeks, it has been raining so I haven't had my car washed and it was very dirty. I had it washed today, at a place that I never have problems with, and when I got home, I noticed an area on the hood of the car that has bubbling. Can this happen at a touchless, reputable and expensive car wash? Or is it faulty paint? My car sits in the driveway and I live in sunny Florida.

Looks like a bad paint job. Should be covered under warranty.

Thank you. I hope it wasn't the car wash, but I just don't see how it could be. I'm going to ford tomorrow and they better fix this under warranty.

Has anyone has this problem before?

A dealer once told a cousin of mine that paint bubbling was due to rock chips when it wasn't even two years old.

Needless to say the dealer was told to fix it, and he was given a loaner vehicle at no charge for the week.
