Question Recreational Towing
I bought a new 2010 escape FW drive to tow 4 wheels down behind my motorhome. The first time out the transmission burned up and all procedures were followed correctly. Ford replaced and said there were no issues towing 4 down. Is there anyone having success or not doing this.

This appears to be a common problem even with '09's with some on their second and third tansmission. One where Ford agreed to buy back the vehicle.

Do you follow the revised procedure with the lower ATF level and frequent stops?

Yes I do now I am gunshy and took it for a 2 hr trip and stopped once with no problem
