I just totaled my 99 ranger and am looking at the sporttrac. Anything i should know about them before i buy? Speific problems with them or things to inspect? I used kelly blue book to get a value on a 02 with about 90kmiles and it valued it at 8500 is this accurate?

I traded my last Ranger on a Sport Trac. Love it. First thing you should do is replace the shocks unless they look pretty new. The stockers are way too soft even for safe highway driving. That sounds like a good deal. At 90k I'd invest in a tune-up and change all the fluids (coolant, tranny, t-case, oil, axles, brake) and filters and motor on.

I had a 04 sprt trac, then i just traded in for a 07, I love it, I put some bigger tires on it...just waiting for a body lift so I can go bigger on the tires. No problems what so ever.
