Question Spark Plugs

Just wanted to know how you get to the back spark plugs on 2001 Escape. It looks as though I'm going to have to take of a bunch of stuff that looks like it is going to have to be replaced ever so gently...Any help would be much appreciated and if its to much trouble guess I'll throw out some money to get them replaced.

Re: Spark Plugs

I would imagine you'll have to unbolt the fuel rail and any other parts that are in the way (perhaps AC line), just make sure they go back on properly and you should be OK. Change them out with platinum plugs so they'll last 60K! Gotta love those transverse engines!

Re: Spark Plugs

You need to remove the upper intake to get to the back plugs. And if you have over 100k on it you might as well remove the lower intake and replace the intake o-rings and pcv valve so you won't have future problems
