I am a newly owner of 2007 Ford Escape 3.0L V6 model, and I have problems with registration process. The VIN plate on the windshield is not enough, the clerk wants to see it stamped on the body. I cannot find it :-(, do you know where it is? or maybe the VIN is only on that plate?

I don't know of anywhere else it is stamped, but it is on stickers all over the vehicle. Raise the hood, one on each fender, one on the hood, on the deck lid, all the doors etc.etc.
