Escape07 Registered User Join Date: Jan 2009 Posts: 2	What type of Power Steering Fluid for 07 Escape What shown in the manual is Mercon ATF. It looks like Transmission Fluid, dosen't it? Can I use that as both of power steering fluid and transmission fluid for my 07 Escape?

jwko Administrator Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Arkansas Posts: 5,425	Re: What type of Power Steering Fluid for 07 Escape You Escape requires Mercon V (synthetic) in the transmission. Don't mix the two. I've heard you can mix Mercon V & Mercon ATF in your power steering system.
