Hey Guys,


I need some help changing over from a distribuitor ignition system to a "Coil on Plug" distributorless ignition - Motor is a Honda B16A Vtec


The reason i need to change is because of limited space to work in, I allready have sourced the appropriate coils (Off a Honda CBR929RR Motor Bike) , but i need help to work out the best way to fire the coils, Im thinking of a Hall effect sensor off the crank but i need to know if this will work with the standard ECU and if i need cam sensors etc,

i will need the 4 channel one and set it up as direct fire

Just put in an aftermarket computer and be done with it.... how much are the MSD units? usually they are very dear ( not worth the jacking around)..

They are about $600 but the thing is that you need a aftermarket comp and the MSD unit,


Works out pricey, Have sorted it out now

What did you do to sort it out?
Where/how did you trigger the coils? Where was your pickup?
