Does the BA ECU learn ? G-Tech used

Does the BA ECU learn ?
I bought a G-Tech unit the other week, tried it out over the weekend with about 20 runs logged and my times have dropped from 15.30 down to 14.88 @ 152kmh over the quarter.
Each run I used the same launch technique and did runs in both directions to cancel out wind factors (which made 0.004 of a difference on the last 2 runs).

Any experts care to comment ?

maybe the suction cap was slowly sagging giving you a bit of a downhill advantage on later runs

As far as I'm aware it is a learning program to a point.

Re: Does the BA ECU learn ? G-Tech used

Its learning ability (known as Adaptive Fuel Strategy) is really designed for good emissions in closed loop, maintaining 14.64:1, not performance in open loop/WOT conditions.

It is also fuel only, as the name suggests

IMO it wouldn't have played any part in the 0.5sec variance.
