Hi,

Can anyone tell me what outputs are available from the EEC-IV? I'm looking for tach, oil pressure, temp, current running gear, etc.

Any help out here?

It depends on what carcase type it is.

For example, the injectors and fuel pump pins change pins depedning if the car is equiped with PATS (passive anti theft system) or not.

The carcase type will be printed on the label.

The carcase number defines the actual hardware.

There can be hundreds of part numbers (i.e. different software) for a particular carcase type.

The part number is defined by the 4 letter short code printed on the label or the 98AP-12A650-BP.

The following list is for a LP4-321 carcase type.

1 Battery positive
2
3 Vehicle Speed Sensor
4 Heater Control Module
5 PATS
6 A/C Dual Pressure Switch
7 Cylinder head temperature sensor
8 Fuel Pump Monitor
9
10 A/C Compressor Cycling Switch
11 Purge Valve
12 Injector 1
13 Main Cooling Fan Relay
14 Injector 4
15 Injector 2
16
17 Module Programming
18 SCP-
19 SCP+
20 RF Ground
21 Idle Valve
22
23
24 Camshaft sensor
25 Air temperature sensor
26 Sensor Supply
27 to Sensor Ground (pin 46)
28 Power Steering Pressure Switch
29
30 Camshaft sensor
31 High Speed Cooling Fan Relay (with A/C fitted)
32 Start Inhibit Relay
33 Pre Cat Lambda heater
34 Injector 3
35 Instrument Cluster - Engine Coolant Temperature
36 ABS Control Module & K-Line (before 09/99 except Japan)
37 Ignition positive
38 PATS
39 Alarm On Indicator LED
40 Power Ground
41
42
43 Clutch Pedal Switch
44 Pre Cat Lambda signal
45 Generator
46 Sensor Ground
47 Thottle Potentiometer
48 Post Cat Lambda Signal
49 MAP sensor
50
51 Post Cat Lambda Heater
52 Instrument Cluster - Check Engine Warning Lamp
53 Fuel Pump Relay
54 A/C Wide Open Throttle (WOT) Relay
55 Crankshaft Sensor
56 Crankshaft Sensor
57 Ignition positive
58 Ignition Coil 1
59 Ignition Coil 2
60 Power Ground

There should be a label on the grey plastic connector (you may have to remove the ECU).

On this label there will be the part number which will be in the form of...

98AP-12A650-BP

The middle number 12A650 means its an ECU.

On the label there should also be the carcase type number.

This will be in the form of...

LP4-321

If you let me know either the part number or the carcase number I might be able to find the corresponding pin out.

I used to work as an Electronic Engineer at ATP Electronics (in Hednesford) remanufacturing ECUs for Ford - I dont work there now though.

Thats why I know a little bit about the Ford ECUs !

Hello Skyrat,
Thanks for the offer. The only number that I can find is
F2MF-JC.
Is that enough to tell you which ECU it is?
