Re: EECV edit from US

The memory locations of all the data are different between US and Aussie EECs, and between different Aussie EECs too. The designers of the Diablo need to rewrite their software for each different EEC, and unfortunately there probably just isn't enough business in Australia for them to invest that time and money. Two companies are already doing the conversion work for their products to suit Aussie EECs, they are SCT for the ODBII (BA-AU) and the Tweecer for the EECIV & V (EB-EL), unfortunately they still isn't full support so many will have to wait for them.

Re: EECV edit from US

I thought there wasn't going to be any support whatsoever for the EECIV - only the EECV for the EF-AU's??
I have heard of the tweecer, but not heard anything about it....do you know where there is more info (apart from on these forums)?

Re: EECV edit from US

As far as I understand, the SCT edit can only support OBDII EEC's which are BA and AU only, EF-El will still miss out because they are not OBDII I believe (will have to check with the SCT guys to make sure of this though).

The tweecer is available for many EECIV V8 EECs and support for EL V8 is being worked on at the moment. Still dont know if there are any plans for the I6 EEC support though, as I said before it really comes down to the cost of development vs the potential market.

Re: EECV edit from US

All,

The US hardware (i.e. moates.net) can now be used on a select few ECUs using the free (for personal use only) definitions on The Australian EEC Collection

There is also now some Aussie built hardware availablem, which can be purchased through the same site.

Cheers,
Jason
