confused Female with no idea about cars needind help please lol!

Hi guys I was wondering if you can help me.....
I have a 91' ea ford wagon. That rev's at all the wrong times. Some times its good, other times it surges badly, I have trouble getting it to pull up at lights or behind cars sometimes as when I am slowing down it revs & the car surges forwards instead. & sometimes it just stalls.
Don't have many problems over 50'ks but under seems bad. I told my husband I think the car is Possessed cause u can drive along and all of a sudden the excellerator just goes from underneath your foot & the car speeds up.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Its had an idle sensor replaced ( it was a little better but not by much)
Got a new computer box ( matched it up so they were the same with the 4 speed auto with CPI etc) but is still playing up.
I read some stuff about the diagnostic errors & am going to try taking the battery off leaving it over night & using the clearing sequece & recalibrating the auto etc ( lol I have no understanding of it really) it was the instructions for fixing error no.99
But can anyone tell me how you run a diagnostic for the ford so I can find out what the errors would be if any?
I saw a machine for $345 but I don't have the money for anything like that.
Is there some way of making the indicators flash ( I heard someone say thats what holdens do)
Any information would be very much appreciated as I am out of money & told my hubby he can't spend anymore to fix the damn thing.
Thanks in advance

Hi, dose your ea have cruise control? that is the only thing i can think of why the peddle would drop away from under your foot and accelerates. but usually when you put the brake on it would cancel out the cruise. as for the stalling i don't have any suggestions on that. if you find an answer i'd be interested to know the result.

hi. no it doesn't have cruise control. the idol control solenoid is for some reason advancing the idol and taking the pedal with it when ever it wants to.
