injector longevity

Can you tell me how long a fuel injector can be expected to last?
I have 180K on mine and I replaced the engine. Is it time or can I get more out of them?

Re: injector longevity

I would at least be looking at getting them cleaned at around 200,000kms, less in a performance engine. I know injectors that have gone 400,000kms+ (some of the taxis probably would have done much more than that too), but at that age their spray patterns wouldn't be great and fuel economy would suffer.

Re: injector longevity

I just replaced injectors and tune up on EL @ 223 000 kms. Don't know how they looked but car runs lot better. That is first set for the car.

My el had them replaced at 560,000
still working well enought but I scored an almost new set and the only difference was maybe a slight increase in fuel economy but Im not sure .
Car now had 584568 k :_)
and running well.
