'03 Expedition headlight bulb replacement.

I have been trying to replace the low beam bulb in the driver side headlight w/ no luck. The owners manual says to remove the top 2 horizontal bolts & loosen the vertical bolt behind the headlight & slide the headlight forward to access the bulb. I have done all of this but I can't slide the headlight out. Any suggestions? I think I have broken the headlight adjuster bolt on the backside of the headlight trying to remove it to gain access to the bulb. There has to be some kinda trick to get to it. Any response would be appreciated.

thanks,
Kmart

Re: '03 Expedition headlight bulb replacement.

I just remember this being a pain in the A when I did it. That's why I didn't even do both sides at the same time like you're supposed to. I know around the side of the light housing where the light meets the fender of the car, there are two prongs (that you can't see yet) that are snapped into a clip. So you are going to have to PULL that sucker out once you have taken all the bolts off that you can find.

Good luck
