At first the problem was intermittent but now the rear AC motor spins the wrong way. The unit sucks from the vents and blows out the intake next to the 3rd seat, The only thing I have done is removed the actuator that switches from floor to overhead because it was causing the common thumping noise that I’ve read so much about and put it in permanent overhead.

This could take a bit, but if you have the expertise, try to check the polarity on the switch. I'm not too familiar with the Exp systems but my rear AC on a Dodge has a switch in the rear. If I had a reverse fan issue I'd check the switch. If yours is in the front dash you'll have a bit more difficulty of course. It might be related to something else so try EVERYTHING you can think of that's electrically operated in the vehicle. Never know, it might be connected to another problem you don't know about.
