I have a 03 navigator and I got a p0174 code. I found the vacuum line that everyone was taking about that goes bad. I believe the part number for that is: YS4Z-6A614-BA, but that is a ford part and not a lincoln part; is that ok to use?

Also, while inspecting the other lines, i found a line that was disintegrating; when you touch the line, it starts turning into sand (You can see the black dust on the left side of the pic). It is the line that connects to the green thing on the right of the pic. Anyone know what this line is called and what part number it is so i can replace it?

That Ford part should be the same. That tube is called the Evaporative emissions return tube.

Evaporative emissions? That may explain my p0456 code that I have on my car for almost a year.

well its part #F75Z9D289AA ( tube assemble - fuel vap), and it costs $55 bucks! Wow, pretty expensive for a hose. I may just buy a regular hose and just replace it.

Is the hose a 5/16 inch hose? Or is it a little bigger or smaller?

I'm not sure. You'd have to remove it to see what's up.

Ford is smart, I cannot remove the hose from that green thing it is connected to. They make you pay the $55 dollars for the new hose. The good thing is that it is not leaking, I did a vacuum test and smoke test.
