I have a 04 Eddie bauer Accutrac with 98k. I have a knocking sound at acceleration after about 10min of driving, not from the motor more sounds like from the rear of the car. More like a hollow clunking sound, it also surges at little if that helps.
Does it do it more on cornering. Could be the limited slip rear end. If the fluid hasn't been changed in awhile, try changing it and using the friction modifier. The friction modifier may be worn out in a sense.
