I have an 04' Navigator and I need to replace the climate control head unit. I purchased a used one at a junkyard, but cant seem to understand how to pop out the old one.

I have replaced the radio in this car so I know how to open up the central console, but it also seems like there is enough room to get to what I need to by removing the kick plate cover on the drivers side next to the accelerator and reach up to pop out the head unit, But it seems well seated, and not easy to loosen to remove...any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
