I have noticed that when I am between 40-60 miles per hour below 2000 RPMs that it has trouble shifting. It sputters so when I take my foot off gas pedal and than push it down again it doesn't seem to have the problem. When I am going down hill, no problems....Level road no problem. Any type of incline is when I experience the problem.
I was in the mountains the other day and my engine light blinked several times then turned off. An hour later, after stopping the car at toll booth, then starting again the car shuttered, the engine light kept blinking then stayed on.
The light stayed on for a day then now its not on again.
If I am above 2000 RPM's and going uphill between 40-60 mph, I don't seem to have this problems.
Any ideas? Is this a major transmission issue or more of a gear box issue?
