Well, not too harsh, but you can definately feel it. Seems like I started to notice about 3-4 months ago when it had around 24K miles on it. This is my first time with any of the FoMoCo auto-trans beyond the 4R-70W, so I'm not sure if this is normal, or something I need to be concerned about. It feels like a clutch or band that is coming in just before you stop; almost the same feel as an old late 60s C6 if you pull it into manual low just as you are stopping. You feel it more when it is cold or if using one of the 4WD modes; haven't tested it yet in 4-L though. The CSR at the dealership was thinking it might be the coupling to the transfer case, but I really doubt that. Any thoughts?

As a follow-up: this trans needs a serious shift program upgrade. I realize that the factory engineers have to make this thing suitable for the average Starbucks sippin crowd, but jeez...this thing is gonna eat a set of clutches and bands before it turns 80K miles old at this rate. This trans needs shift points about 600-1000 RPM higher going up, 10 MPH higher going down, and less throttle cut-out during shifts (or better yet, no cut-out and full line pressure). Considering that tall set of screws in the axles (3:31s) this thing needs all the help it can get off the line.
