Hey ... this is my first post so if I've missed it elsewhere on the forum I'm sorry.

I am looking at a '97 Expedition. My question is, can a third row seat be added?? does anyone make a rear seat for this year model?

Yes it sure can be added, your expedition has everything set up at the back ready for a third seat to be installed, which is extreamely easy. Good luck on your new expo!

One quick question...does the expy you are looking for have the rear seat belts? If it doesn't, check a pick and pull and you can find them pretty easy.

I had a 97 Expy which had no rear third seat and you can't add it if the tracks or holders in the floor aren't there.

There was a time that the third seat was an factory option. When you look in the rear cargo area you should see 4 places/brackets built into the floor pan for the seat to mount and lock in. If not, you can't add the factory seat.

There was a third party add-on seat that faced rearward but I don't know if it's still around.
