I recently damaged my left mirror on my 1998 Expedition XLT. The mirror was a standard power mirror without signals or heat. I found a mirror with signals and heat OEM for considerably less than purchasing from the dealer.

My question is. Is the wiring already present for signal/heated mirrors? If not then what is necessary for me to use these additional options of these new mirrors. Any help would be appreciated greatly.

Thanks for the input. I just thought since I found the mirrors with the options for the same price as a standard mirror it would be nice to have heated mirrors but I'm certainly not going to tear apart a steering column to use them.
