2000 Exp limited slip differential - Ford Forums

I have a 2000 Eddie Bauer 4x4 5.8L Expedition that has a bad vibration underneath (rear) when taking off, and when turning left or right. Everything I have read leans toward the well-known Ford issue of a limited slip differential replacement in early 2000 Exped/Explorers. My questions are this:

1. Even with my limited explanation, does it sound like that is the issue, or is there an axle problem that may be causing this, and

2. What are the related costs?

My vehicle is not under warranty so I am gonna have to pay everything out of pocket (ugh).

Well, no one replied, but it is in the shop right now and we shall see what the damage is.

I have a sweet loaner car. Slate blue Taurus. The chicks are all over me damnit.
