2001 Navigator Door Lock Actuator

Hello everyone,

I bought a used Navigator a couple of weeks ago from a Ford dealer and in the negotiation I got them to throw in an auto start. I took the truck back to have it installed and since then my driver side rear door lock will not lock or unlock. I can hear it clicking but the lock will not move. I took it back in this morning and he tells me it's nothing to do with the auto start but my actuator is bad and it will cost $150 to fix it.

My question is how hard is this to get to yourself? Are the door panels a pain? And can I get an actuator from an Expedition as well?

Other than this issue I love this truck!

To get the best help, get a Chilton or Haynes manual to refer to. Your local library might have one.
