2003 Navigator Stalling

First I want to thank the forum members for any helpful remarks or suggestions. This forum helped me with my 2001 F-250.

I have a 2003 Navigator with 40,000 miles on it. The truck will at times stall at idle while at a stop light or in park. On the highway between speeds of 40 and 65 mph it sputters and sometimes has violent stalls and has shut off. Pulled over and it starts right back up and continues to run but problem is getting worse.

Took it to my mechanic and there are no computer problems and fuel pressure is good. Recently replaced air filter and fuel filter at last service but did not help.......

Any suggestions?? Thanks

Re: 2003 Navigator Stalling

Well,

I was able to read other posts concerning this issue with Expeditions and Navigators and went ahead and replaced the IAC (Idle Air Control Valve). Purchased it locally for $42 and put it in in under 15 minutes.

So far no problems!!! What a relief.......
