Over the last few days I've been getting an occasional warning beep from the dashboard, and can't tell why. The sound is the same as the low-fuel indicator, but there's no change in the digital panel readout, no warning lights, all gauges look normal. I even topped off the tank in case somehow both fuel displays were faulty and the beep was legit, but it only took 7 gallons. (The only glitch was it took a few minutes for the remaining-mileage number to increase after I restarted.) Anybody else getting this one?

Is it the same tone as the key , seatbelt, headlight etc. warning tone?

I am having the exact same issue on my 2000 Expedition. There are no dash lights associated with the alarms. My alarms do seem to be triggered to some extent by a bumpy ride.

If anyone has any ideas, please post them.
