Hi there, having a few problems with my 97. It has 25,000 miles on the Odometer.

First, I noticed yesterday that the odometer does not run anymore, so I removed the gauge cluster only to find that the small plastic screw gear on the electric motor that drives the odo is broken. I had a friend make me a new plastic gear, installed it and still doesnt work. Any ideas? I plan to buy an used instrument cluster if anyone has one available.

Second, the Ford dealer here lost the CD Changer Magazine. Does anyone know where to buy the CD Changer magazine? The audio system doesnt have a name, the only name I noticed was on the speakers on the doors, it says Mach Audio Systems.

Third, the Check Engine lit up a month ago, but the truck runs perfectly. Any ideas?

First of all, these clusters are actually a module. To replace this, the Dealership needs to perform a "Programmable Module Installation" to make it work.

The CD Magazine should be available from the Dealer.

Get a free scan from a parts store and post the codes found here on this thread.
