98 expedition lowering spindle question.

I have seen that belltech makes one but I have seen kits available that say must have 18 inch or bigger wheel? is this because of the new spindle?

yes, what happens is the stud that the hub attaches to is moved more up the length of the spindle off of the center, making the smaller rim not compatible...

here is a pic. it is very elementary, but i believe it describes what happens with a lowered spindle. someone please correct me if i am wrong.
