99 Expedition vs F150 for towing - Ford Forums

This is my first attempt on the forum. I have a 2300# concession trailer with a tongue wt. of 500#. My 4.0 Explorer can't do the job!. I'm looking at the F-150 with a 5.4 eng. or an Expedition. Are the frames alike? The Expedition would give me the protected area for hauling supplies but I don't know how it would tow the trailer vs the F-150.
