Alternator replacement - Ford Forums

Hello all, I'm new to this forum. I own a 1997 Expedition, that I changed the alternator on and cannot seem to tighten the belt properly. I was wondering if anyboy can help me out. I would appreciate any help.

Check your belt routing. The belt should go over or under a belt tensioner that puts the specified tension on the belt that drives all of the stuff including the alternator.

hi can anyone help. i chage the alternator on my 2003 expedition and now is working ok.but the litle batery light is on and in the litle check panel said check the charging system.i went back where i buy the alternator and change for another and is charging ok but the light is on.i don"t know what is it.can anyone help.thank you
