Bought a new EXP XLT last July. Almost immediately I noticed clicking and squeking noises from the back of the seats when accellerating and decellerating. The technicians at 2 dealerships don't know how to fix it, so they have now said it's a "vehicle characteristic"... But now 7000 miles into ownership the noise has gotten louder, and now I hear a new metallic clicking noise in the base of the seat as well.

Anyone else have any strange noises coming from their seat?

If the seat folds, make sure it's locked properly in place, or it will rattle around if the seat is 'up' and not locked down. Best thing to do is get the wife/girlfriend/friend to drive it, and you sit towards the back to better pinpoint the noise. Sometimes dealers just can't be bothered to find something unless you're willing to fork out the big bucks.

actually, to clarify: the seats in question are the front seats.... the noises come from the seat-backs...

Well, the noise could be the spring that pulls the seat back to the upright position. The seats could also be rubbing at the back against the cab.
