I have an 03 Expedition and I need to change the oil and was wondering if Ford had a preference on the type of oil to use in there engines?

I just want to say that I always take my ford expy in and have the oil change
done for me. The place I take it to also services fleet vehicles. My 1997 expy
takes 6.8 quarts of oil. But they tell me that the fleet expy's take anywhere
from 6.0 to 7.2 quarts to fill and it dosen't seem to matter what year they are.

I woudl use synthetic oil, or mobil and a bottle of lucas.

For my climate, and operating conditions I like Quaker State, 5W-30, Full Synthetic.
Additionally I use the best premium oil filter available usually FRAM when I change my fluid. The supplies are somewhat expensive, but much less than having it done at a jiffy lube type business by a technician.

0-20 Mobil One and Motorcraft 820S filter for me, with 4k mile change interval. i used the 5w20 Motocraft oil for the fist 30k miles with 3k mile intervals. 0-20 just became available where i live. i was waiting for it.
