Ok - I gotta admit, I was considering changing out the spark plugs until I popped the hood and couldn't even find em'!
While I'm no mechanic, I allways did the basics - and allways tuned up my own cars.
What kind of tools do I need to remove that coil assembly - or whatever it is, off the plugs so I can change them and the wires?
I feel like an idiot for asking, but I need some quidance..
Thanks,
The coils come off pretty easily. Just the wire attachment (which is the hardest), then a small bolt holds them onto the head. Plugs come out pretty easily to, but you'll probably need a universal swivel to get to the back ones.

Wow, well this thread is pretty old. Anyways, here's a step-by-step tutorial on how to change the spark plugs on the Ford 5.4 Triton. Pertains to Expedition, Navigator, and F-150.
