Check Engine Light

My check engine light came on so I took my Exp to the shop where the EGR valve was diagnosed as being bad. After replacement the light remained off for about 100 miles. Now it's back on. The plugs were changed approx. 8K miles ago and in the past I've had two bad coils. #4 and #8. I'm sure they are all good now. How do I reset it the light? Can this be done by disconecting the battery for a while? Other cause for this lamp to come on?

Re: Check Engine Light

My check engine light was on, so I used a OBD II and found it was my o2 sensor. Which are easy to replace with a o2 sensor socket. my light is off and have no problems. Auto Zone has the OBD II and the o2 socket wrench for free use. Hope this helps. Good luck JUDAH (97'EXPEDITION)
