On out '98 Expedition one of the child door locks engages all by itself. Is this just that the switch is wearing out or what. The people we bought it from had it engaged all the time.

My 97 Expy had the same problems. The dealer had to replace the child lock switches on both rear doors. (It was still under warranty at the time). I remember wedging a small roll pin under the switch until they got it fixed.

Thanks for the info. It looks like I'll be tearing the door apart to replace the switch soon.
